Capture

Capture collects map links from other apps into a list on your device. You can then save the list as a route.

With Capture on and this app as your default browser, a map link is caught here. You stay in the app you tapped it in. The floating widget is not needed.

Open Capture

Open Capture from the Home screen or the side menu. The page stays open when you leave for Android settings or another app. You can also press and hold the widget's paste button, then tap the Capture shortcut.

Set up Capture

Setup lives in Settings > Capture. Until this app is your default browser, the Capture page shows an Open Capture setup button. Tap it, then follow the steps in order.

  1. Tap Default browser and set this app as your default browser. On Samsung phones, the popup may do nothing. Open Android's default apps settings and pick this app there.
  2. Go back to Settings. It checks by itself and moves to the next step.
  3. In this app's Android settings, turn on supported links. The app cannot check this step, so check it yourself.
  4. Tap Turn off Google Maps supported links. In Google Maps, turn off Open supported links. If you skip this, Maps links go to Maps and this app never sees them.

Result: The Capture switch, List and Jump options, the captured list, and Save as route appear. Your earlier points come back too.

  1. Turn on Capture mode.
  2. Choose List (add the point), Jump (teleport there), or both.
  3. If the list has points, choose Clear to start again or Keep to add to the list.

With Capture off, links pass through: nothing is collected and your location does not change. Google Maps links open in Maps first. Other links open in the browser you chose with Pass-through.

To land back in your game after a link, open Settings > Capture. Tap After a map link, open and pick the app from the list. It opens after a Jump, or after you choose Teleport or Walk in the popup. If you have not picked one, the app opens your game when you chose Pokémon Go or Pikmin Bloom during setup and the game is installed. Pick None to open nothing.

Collect and save a route

  1. Tap a map link in another app.
  2. A short message confirms the point. The other app stays open.
  3. Open Capture to see your list in a list, in capture order.
  4. Edit the list with the buttons above the route name field.
  5. Type a route name and tap Save as route. You need at least two points.

Result: The route appears under Routes.

Tapping the same link twice in a row adds it once. Tapping an earlier point again adds it again, so a route can loop.
