Tap to walk in a game
Walk toward a spot by tapping the game screen, without opening the app.
Before you start
- The Display over other apps permission is on.
- The floating widget is visible.
- The screen helper is on. See Screen access.
Steps
- Open Settings → Screen helpers → Tap to Walk.
- Turn on the screen overlay and tap Accept on the confirmation screen.
- Open Settings → Screen helpers → Screen access, tap Open settings, and turn on the locationjoystick screen helper.
- Switch to your game and expand the widget.
- Tap the crosshair button, then tap where you want to walk.
Result
Your fake location walks toward the spot you tapped. The overlay then disappears.
The first time, the app does not know your map yet. Your tap still walks at once. A few seconds in, the app has measured the map, and it corrects the walk toward the spot you tapped if needed. The app only measures the map at walking speeds. On Bike and Drive it keeps the last map it measured.
